I love things that remind me of a simpler time and place. A time when innocence was prevalent. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older and our world is a bit chaotic, so my mind wanders back to those simple days growing up out in the country. Don’t get me wrong, I was like any other kid that couldn’t wait to get out of the country. But, oh - if I had known the things then that I know now. So – I take pictures of things that remind me of “back then”. My favorite things to photograph are anything old - old homes, old barns, and old buildings. I also love to photograph landscapes and animals. Things that don’t create chaos. I retired from Dow Chemical in 2014 after 35 years of working and keeping to a clock – someone else’s clock. Now, I travel when I can and take photographs. And when I can’t travel, I do local day trips or go out into my backyard to take photos. So, I guess I could say my favorite things to do are taking photos, traveling and dancing, not necessarily in that order.
