Graduating from high school in 1986, she was accepted into Southern Illinois University's College of Technical Careers Commercial Graphic Design Program, which was renowned as one of the best in the country at the time. In 1989, she successfully completed the program, setting the stage for her artistic journey. However, she pursued a different path and earned a degree in Emergency Health Sciences as a Nationally Registered Paramedic from The College of Health Sciences in Roanoke Virginia in 1995.
After dedicating herself to her career and family, Kate rediscovered her passion for painting in 2015. Subsequently, she embarked on a professional career as a commission artist. Specializing in watercolor, she has also dabbled in acrylic and mixed media, showcasing her artistic versatility and creativity.
