Sarka Zi is a sculptor that loves the creative process of getting her hands in and building and refining. The same approach is taken to her 2D work where she works in layers of coloured pencils, wax crayons, pastels, paints, and ink. She works intuitively and in series, exploring a theme until she has captured its essence. Sarka Zi feels a spiritual connection when she creates art, and follows where her hands and the materials around her lead her.
Sarka Zi's mother was a Greek sculptor while her father was an Okie poet. She spends her time between Greece and California. Sarka Zi received a BA in Ceramic Sculpture from the California College of Arts and Crafts and an MFA in Spatial Arts from San Jose State. Her work is rarely abstract and she loves the spiritual experience of physical reality.
Sarka Zi's artwork is captivating and the perfect addition to any home or office. Treat yourself and purchase her prints today.
