Darrell Lynn Mccoy

Darrell L. McCoy is an old soldier and academic, holding the titles of Command Sergeant Major and Doctor of Education. An aspiring artist, he first delved into photography as a hobby before transitioning to etching in 2015. By 2018, he had moved on to acrylic painting, and in 2020, he began working with oil paints. Despite considering himself a novice, at age 55, McCoy's goal is to be recognized as a successful artist by the time he turns 60 in 2028. Now happily embedded in his garage, he spends his days painting and enjoying life with his family.

McCoy's family is an integral part of his success and happiness. Married to Joy for 20 years, they have navigated life's ups and downs together. With two sons, Ezekiel, who is an aspiring artist, and Malachi, who enjoys strategy games and dabbles in art, their family is a source of inspiration and support. McCoy credits God and his family for helping him feel successful in all aspects of his life.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, McCoy has an impressive professional background. Working as a Senior Training and Development Specialist since 2007, he has also served in the Army Reserve, Texas Army National Guard, US Marines, and Army Reserve throughout his military career. His dedication to education is evident through his numerous degrees, including a Doctor of Education, earned in 2019. McCoy's commitment to continuous learning and growth is reflected in his varied career and academic achievements.
