Darrell Lynn Mccoy

DMCCOY GALLERY

An old soldier and academic, Darrell McCoy holds the titles of Command Sergeant Major and Doctor of Education. Despite his impressive background, McCoy is also an aspiring artist who began his creative journey with photography as a hobby. In 2015, he ventured into etching, followed by acrylic in 2018, and finally oil painting in 2020. At 55 years old, McCoy considers himself a novice artist with the goal of being recognized as a successful artist by the time he reaches 60 in 2028.

Alongside his artistic pursuits, McCoy finds joy in his family life. He has been married to his wife, Joy, for 20 years, and together they have weathered life's ups and downs. Their two sons, Ezekiel and Malachi, each have their own artistic interests, with Ezekiel showing promise as an artist and Malachi enjoying strategy games and dabbling in art.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, McCoy has a successful career in both civilian and military settings. He has worked as a Senior Training and Development Specialist since 2007 and has served in various branches of the military, including the Army Reserve, Texas Army National Guard, US Marines, and Army Reserve, spanning from 1985 to the present. McCoy's dedication to education is evident through his impressive academic achievements, culminating in a Doctor of Education degree in 2019.

For those interested in adding a piece of McCoy's artwork to their home or office decor, prints of his original paintings are available for purchase. Each piece is signed and dated, making it a unique and special addition to any art collection.
