Pat Perrin

She has always been determined to make a living creatively, embarking on a daring adventure into the world of art. After teaching art in Virginia public schools and spending years on a Shenandoah Valley “art-farm,” she pursued a formal art degree. Despite the lack of exciting opportunities that followed, she took a chance by driving to Los Angeles to work for an intriguing newsletter, where she met her husband, a fellow full-time creative.

For nearly 14 years, they resided in the Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende, where they established and managed a scholarship program for at-risk students. During their time in Mexico, they also welcomed their daughter into their family. Now, they all call North Carolina home.

Recently, she held a solo show at the local ArtsCenter, showcasing a diverse range of mediums including fibers, watercolors, charcoal, and digital art. Her work has been featured in galleries and juried shows in Mexico and the U.S., with select pieces available for purchase as prints for home and office decor. She has discovered that nature is as much about life force as it is about forms, and that in the empty spaces, a subtle energy emerges.
