Plays on Ideas
CARRBORO, NC

She has always been determined to make a living creatively, embarking on an adventurous journey that led her from teaching art in Virginia public schools to running a scholarship program for at-risk students in Mexico. After years of exhibits and living on an art farm in the Shenandoah Valley, she pursued an art degree which eventually led her to Los Angeles where she found her husband, a fellow full-time creative. Together, they lived in San Miguel de Allende for nearly 14 years, where they established the scholarship program and adopted their daughter before settling in North Carolina.

Recently, she showcased her work in a solo exhibition at the local ArtsCenter, featuring a blend of fibers, watercolors, charcoal, and digital art. Her pieces have been displayed in galleries and juried shows across Mexico and the U.S., with select images now available for purchase as prints. Through her art, she explores the concept that a forest is as much about intervals as it is about trees, and that nature encompasses both life force and forms, with subtle energy emerging from empty spaces.

For those looking to add a touch of creativity to their home or office decor, her prints offer a unique and inspired choice. Each piece reflects her years of experience and artistic exploration, capturing the beauty of nature and the energy found in the spaces between. Purchase a print today to bring a piece of her creative journey into your own space.
