After years of exhibits and living on an art-farm in the Shenandoah Valley, they eventually obtained an art degree, which led them to Los Angeles where they met their husband, a fellow creative. Together, they spent nearly 14 years in San Miguel de Allende, establishing the scholarship program and adopting their daughter before settling in North Carolina.
