The artist's passion for nature and travel has shaped their photography over the years. Originally from Colorado, they made their way up the Rocky Mountain range in the 1970s to study fine-art photography in Banff, Canada. Armed with a 4x5 camera, they learned the Zone System and how to create dye-transfer color prints. Fast forward forty years, after obtaining a photojournalism degree from the University of Missouri and working in graphic design and computer information architecture, they have returned to their roots in nature and landscape photography.

With a foundation in film photography, the artist has witnessed significant changes in the field over the years. They are dedicated to exploring the intricate details of nature that often go unnoticed by many, whether it's the forest floor, a rare bird, or a hidden vista. Additionally, they are a strong advocate for conservation efforts, believing in the importance of preserving the natural world for future generations.

Their photos offer a unique perspective on the beauty of nature, showcasing the intricate details and hidden gems that are often overlooked. Each image tells a story and invites viewers to appreciate the world around them in a new light.
