Kate Billings, a mid-west transplant to the south, has harbored the heart of an artist for most of her life. Graduating high school in 1986, she was accepted into Southern Illinois University's College of Technical Careers Commercial Graphic Design Program, one of the top programs in the country at that time. In 1989, she successfully graduated from the program. However, she found herself being pulled in a different direction and decided to return to college to pursue a degree in Emergency Health Sciences as a Nationally Registered Paramedic from The College of Health Sciences in Roanoke Virginia in 1995.
After focusing on her career and family, Kate rediscovered her passion for painting in 2015. This rekindled love for art led her to embark on a professional career as a commission artist shortly thereafter. Specializing in watercolor, she has also dabbled in acrylic and mixed media. Kate's unique style and artistic approach have captured the attention of many art enthusiasts and collectors.
