For the next three years, the family worked tirelessly to preserve Daisy's kidney function, until at the age of 16, her kidneys failed completely. The following two years were spent battling to keep Daisy alive until, at 18, she received a life-saving kidney transplant. This experience profoundly impacted the artist, leading them to create a pencil drawing titled "Daisy" as a tribute to their daughter's strength and resilience.
