Gregg Robinson

GreggRobinsonAfrica

Born in Zimbabwe, Gregg developed a deep love and appreciation for the African wilderness from a young age. With over 30 years of experience working, walking, and photographing some of the most breathtaking areas, he considers the African wilderness his backyard. His adventurous spirit and creative streak have been fueled by these experiences, making his photos truly captivating.

Gregg's passion for photography, visual arts, and print making was ingrained in him long before he ever picked up a camera. As a successful entrepreneur and commercial photographer, he has published two books, "Mana Pools" in 2013 and "Elephants & Albidas" five years later. His dedication to producing stunning photos and prints is evident in his work, and he is always working towards his next book or exhibition.

The artist in Gregg finds solace in spending time in his darkroom and studio, where he delves into age-old photography processes and develops images onto fine cotton papers. He admires the master printers who continue to perfect and share their trade, and he revels in the slow, deliberate process that allows him to escape from the chaotic modern world. Gregg cherishes the moment when a print comes to life, knowing that it will eventually find a place in someone's home.

Currently residing in Mauritius with his family, Gregg continues to travel around Africa on photographic assignments. His connection with the wilderness has shaped him into a passionate conservationist who believes in the importance of preserving the natural world. By purchasing one of Gregg's prints, you can bring a piece of the African wilderness into your home or office, while supporting his conservation efforts for the greater good of the planet.
