Gregg Robinson

GreggRobinsonAfrica

Born in Zimbabwe, Gregg's deep love for the African wilderness began at a young age, shaping his adventurous spirit over the past three decades. Having explored, worked in, and captured some of the most breathtaking landscapes, he considers these areas his backyard. Gregg's passion for photography, visual arts, and printmaking was instilled in him long before he even picked up a camera. As a successful entrepreneur and commercial photographer, he has published two books - Mana Pools in 2013 and Elephants & Albidas five years later, with more projects in the works.

The artist in Gregg finds solace in his darkroom and studio, where he delves into age-old photography processes and creates timeless prints on exquisite cotton papers. Immersed in the chemistry, texture of the paper, and solitude of this art form, he cherishes the opportunity to slow down time and witness a print come to life. Working closely with gallerists and interior designers, Gregg takes pride in producing prints that capture a moment frozen in time, allowing viewers to escape into its soul. He not only prints his own work but also collaborates with clients to bring their visions to life.

Taking on various photographic projects, Gregg utilizes his business and marketing skills to showcase safari and travel destinations. Leading private photographic groups on safaris across Southern Africa, he shares his passion for conservation and the importance of preserving the natural world for future generations. Now based in Mauritius with his family, Gregg continues to travel throughout Africa on photography assignments, capturing the vibrant beauty of the continent. For those looking to bring a piece of Africa into their homes or offices, Gregg's prints offer a unique opportunity to connect with the wilderness and support conservation efforts.
