Following his graduation, David was commissioned in the Marine Corps, where he had the prestigious role of being a Presidential Aircraft Commander for President Ronald Reagan from 1984 to 1987. Before retiring from the Marine Corps, he commanded a Marine helicopter training squadron at Marine Corps Air Station, Tustin, California. Despite his successful military career, David always harbored a passion for art, attending workshops in his teenage years and taking art classes at various universities.
