Doreen Lepore is a plein air and still life painter whose work captures the lush, tropical beauty of her native Florida. Using the vibrant colors of the impressionists and an expressive, painterly style, her artwork conveys the poetic feel of the light and location. She is a juried member of both the Pastel Society of America and Oil Painters of America, and has been an active member of Plein Air Florida since 2008.
Lepore has a passion for painting from life, and believes that it is the only way to capture the true color of the light, atmosphere and spirit of the place. Her works have been featured in many juried exhibits, national publications and in numerous private collections. She has also participated in several events, including painting postcards around her hometown of Hobe Sound and donating portions of her proceeds to environmental causes.
Lepore has been a self-taught artist her whole life, and has also taught pastel and plein air painting. In 2014, she was featured in Fine Art Connoisseur magazine in the Artists in our Parks article.
Lepore's artwork is the perfect way to bring the beauty of nature into your home. As an artist, she strives to evoke a peaceful sense of place that invites the viewer to enjoy the beauty of nature and reflect on memories of the past.
