Laurie Rohner


Laurie Rohner Studio - Between The Weeds is an artist based in the United States. Laurie is known for her fine art nature watercolors, as well as for developing a technique of applying watercolor designs to painted furniture. Her work is made with only the finest quality materials and techniques, making her paintings and furniture pieces investment pieces that will bring nature home for decades to come.

Laurie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts, and specializes in painting and interior design. She was particularly inspired by the egg tempera watercolors of Andrew Wyeth, the emotional artwork of Georgia O’Keeffe and Claude Monet, and the intricate floral illustrations of Redoute and Durer etchings.

Laurie’s experience as an artist is varied. She was the head designer and owner of a New Jersey flower shop for over a decade, and then worked closely with Sotheby’s in New York City as an interior designer restoring painted chairs. She eventually opened her painting studio and furniture restoration business. Laurie has participated in many shows and fairs, and has achieved awards for both her artwork and her functional art furniture.
