Kilmer Barry has been living in Bend, Oregon for the past twenty four years. Here, the foothills of the Cascades meet the high desert lava plateaus. Barry lived on the west side of Maui for fifteen years before moving to Bend. His fascination with Earth’s dynamic geologic systems and the inherent beauty of wilderness has him willing to backpack way back in there for days to uncover pristine wilderness and geological marvels. His favorite place to find inspiration is above the tree line in the Sequoia-Kings Canyon Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada.
Barry is passionate about giving back. He uses 10% of proceeds from his Geo Galleries sales to support Leave No Trace outdoor ethics awareness and education. He creates his works of art using watercolor pigments on Canson Montval art board and his proprietary Colorweave technique. If you have a favorite adventure photo, he’ll Colorweave a custom wilderness original for you. Signed limited edition prints are in stock and available.
