Barry Robert Kilmer

Residing in Bend, Oregon for over two decades, Barry has found inspiration in the meeting point of the Cascades foothills and the high desert lava plateaus. Before settling in Bend, he spent fifteen years on Maui's west side, where his fascination with Earth's dynamic geologic systems began. Barry is known for his willingness to journey deep into the wilderness, backpacking for days to witness pristine landscapes and geologically fascinating sights. His favorite spot for inspiration remains above tree line in the Sequoia-Kings Canyon Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada.

Barry's passion for the outdoors extends beyond his art, with 10% of the proceeds from Geo Galleries sales going towards supporting Leave No Trace outdoor ethics awareness and education. Using watercolor pigments on Canson Montval art board, Barry employs his proprietary Colorweave technique to create stunning wilderness originals. He offers signed limited edition prints that capture the beauty of nature in vivid detail. For those looking to bring a piece of the wilderness into their homes or offices, Barry is excited to Colorweave a custom piece based on a favorite adventure photo.
