Residing in Bend, Oregon for the past twenty four years, Barry has found inspiration in the meeting point of the Cascades foothills and the high desert lava plateaus. Previously, he spent fifteen years on Maui's west side, where his fascination with Earth's dynamic geologic systems and the beauty of wilderness began to take root. Barry is known to venture deep into the wilderness for days, backpacking to see pristine landscapes and geologically interesting sights. His favorite place for inspiration remains above tree line in the Sequoia-Kings Canyon Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada.
A unique aspect of Barry's work is his Colorweave technique, which involves watercolor pigments on Canson Montval art board. He is excited to create custom wilderness originals for clients based on their favorite adventure photos. Additionally, signed limited edition prints are available for purchase, offering a chance to bring the beauty of the wilderness into your home or office. 10% of the proceeds from Geo Galleries sales are dedicated to supporting Leave No Trace outdoor ethics awareness and education.
For those interested in adding a touch of natural beauty to their space, Barry's prints are a perfect choice.
