Chunbum Park

Chunbum Park, a South Korean artist, delves into her fantasies as a trans woman through her figurative paintings. Her work also explores the concept of racialized beauty in Japanese anime and anti-racist aesthetics, as seen in her depictions of Asian beauties and goddesses. Born in Seoul in 1991, Park moved to America in 2000 to study English and pursue her education. She attended Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, TN during her high school years before studying art at the Art Students League of NY and earning her BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 2020.

In addition to her photography, Park is known for inventing an art auction card game called ArtBid and for her website, Emerging Artists Collective, where she shines a spotlight on other emerging talents. Currently, she is a candidate for an MFA in Fine Arts Studio at the Rochester Institute of Technology, further honing her craft and expanding her artistic horizons.
