Christine Kidd Design & Studio Art
Scottsville, VA

Christine Kidd is a professional artist and designer, based in rural Virginia. Art has been a lifelong passion of hers from a very early age, which ultimately lead to her pursuit of a career in art. After spending a year at a college in Florida, she transferred to Liberty University in 2010 to continue her art education. During her time at LU, two of her paintings were added to the University’s permanent student art collection and she received multiple awards for her artwork (“Best in Show” for two consecutive years in the University’s annual art competition, 1st place in the 2013 "Envision" Senior Studio Art Show, and “Outstanding Studio Artist” from LU’s Studio and Digital Arts Department). She served for a brief time as President of Zeta Chi (LU’s chapter of the International Honorary Art Society, Kappa Pi) and during her final semester at LU she was commissioned by a faculty member to do a painting of the Herodian Temple Mount for "The Last Supper Exhibit" on campus. The painting was later included in the Liberty Biblical Museum and published in two books: Inner Cubes Handbuch zum Tempel by Dr. Randall Price (Germany, 2013) and Zondervan Handbook of Biblical Archaeology by Dr. Randall Price (U.S., 2017). In 2013, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Liberty University, graduating with highest honors.

She currently works as both a professional graphic designer and a professional studio artist; her specialty is realistic portraiture done in oil, charcoal or graphite. Samples of her work can be viewed on Facebook, Instagram or at christinekidd.myportfolio.com.
