Joy Neasley

Currently based out of Tennessee, Joy Neasley is a wildlife and nature artist who specializes in creating stunning watercolor paintings. She finds inspiration in the natural beauty of Tennessee and enjoys painting outdoors in the sunlight using a small palette of high-quality watercolor paints, white gouache, and archival watercolor paper.

Although Joy did not start painting until later in life, her artistic journey began in her teenage years when she would retreat to a farm field in East Texas to read, write, and draw. After focusing on motherhood and family life, she rediscovered her passion for art in 2009, initially working with graphite, charcoal, and carbon pencils. Following a health scare in 2013, Joy's doctor recommended she try something new as part of her rehabilitation, leading her to experiment with watercolor painting.

Joy's dedication to her craft led her to seek out online tutorials and classes, including those from Anna Mason’s School of Watercolor and Dianne Southerland’s Botanical Illustration. Drawing inspiration from the wildlife and nature she encounters on Tennessee greenways and trails, Joy's paintings capture the beauty of her surroundings with a delicate and vibrant touch.

For those looking to bring a piece of Tennessee's natural beauty into their homes or office spaces, Joy Neasley's prints are the perfect choice. Her artwork celebrates the wonders of wildlife and nature, offering a serene and captivating addition to any décor.
