Jay Fullmer, an artist and illustrator hailing from Wisconsin, holds an MFA in traditional illustration. With over two decades of experience, he has specialized in illustrating stories from the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon. His journey began in 2004 with the release of Book of Mormon Battles, a card game that quickly became the best-selling LDS game of all time. Following the success of the game, he ventured into creating a chess set and another card game, which led him to contemplate the stories he wanted to convey and the visual representation of the ancient American world.
In 2009, Jay embarked on a two-year full-time project that culminated in the release of Other Heroes of the Book of Mormon in 2011. This project allowed him to delve deeper into the narratives of lesser-known figures in the Book of Mormon through a series of paintings and illustrations. These artworks now form the cornerstone of his collection available in this gallery. Since joining the Church Education System in 2012, Jay has been actively creating content for his Fullmer Gems YouTube channel, where he shares his expertise in scriptures and showcases his art.
