Kaldric D. Dow

Kaldric Dow Prints
San Antonio, TX

Born in 1990 in Houston Texas, Kaldric Dow is a leading African American artist of the generation of millennials. Dow studied at UTSA in the informal studio classes establishing strong drawing, perspective, and an understanding of art history. There, he absorbed the acute attention to skin tone and lighting, subsequently refining his own visual and conceptual vocabulary that emerged through his focus on the points of intersection between art history, representing a current culture, and the dynamics of color theory.

As a visual artist, Dow has always been passionate about representing cultures that are often misunderstood and misrepresented in the mainstream media. Dow firmly believes that art has the power to bridge cultural divides and bring people together, and it is his hope that his work can help to promote greater understanding and empathy for those whose voices are often marginalized.

The artist expresses deep appreciation for all those who have supported his career as an artist, and who have embraced his vision of celebrating diversity and promoting cultural understanding through art. Your support has been instrumental in helping him to achieve his goals and to make a positive impact on the world through his work.

The themes and subjects he explores in his art can sometimes be challenging and even uncomfortable for some people, which has made the artist grateful for those willing to engage with his work and for their consideration of the perspectives and experiences of others.

Kaldric’s work can be found in myriad of public and private art collections throughout the United States and has been seen in numerous exhibitions worldwide. He currently lives and works in San Antonio, Texas
