While on a family vacation in the spring of 2019, the artist faced a near-death experience that made them reevaluate their life at the age of 41. This event prompted them to explore their identity and how they could make a positive impact on others. Overcoming severe social anxiety, they decided to pursue their lifelong dream of performing stand-up comedy at a local open mic night. Delving into the roots of their anxiety, they discovered they were neurodivergent, with undiagnosed autism/ADHD hindering their potential since childhood.

Despite managing to perform stand-up comedy a few times in the fall of 2019, the artist realized their health issues, including chronic pain, needed to be addressed if they wanted to continue performing regularly. Stepping away from the stage, they spent four years searching for answers and were eventually diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder with no cure. During this time, the artist channeled their creativity into photography, digitally altering images to create surreal and thought-provoking artwork.

Each piece of digital art created during those four years explores juxtaposition and symmetry to distort perceptions and offer a new perspective. The aim of the collection is to engage the mind in a state of neuroplasticity, inviting viewers to see the world in a different light. These unique and captivating pieces of artwork are now available for purchase as prints, perfect for home and office decor. Experience the transformative power of art in your space by adding these pieces to your collection today.
