While vacationing with their family in the spring of 2019, the artist had a near-death experience that made them reevaluate their life at the age of 41. Feeling a deep remorse for not doing more, they embarked on a journey to discover who they truly were and how they could serve others. Pursuing a lifelong dream of performing stand-up comedy, they had to overcome severe social anxiety rooted in their childhood, eventually realizing they were neurodivergent, with undiagnosed autism/ADHD hindering their potential.

After performing stand-up several times in the fall of 2019, the artist realized that their health problems extended beyond anxiety. Living with chronic pain for most of their life, they knew they needed to prioritize their health in order to continue pursuing their passion for comedy. Stepping away from the stage, they sought answers to their health issues, leading to a diagnosis of Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder with no known cure or treatment.

Over the next four years, the artist channeled their creativity into photography and digital art. With the world on lockdown, they began digitally altering photographs taken with their phone, creating surreal and thought-provoking images. Exploring concepts of juxtaposition and symmetry, their art aims to distort perceptions and trigger neuroplasticity in the mind. This collection represents some of their favorite works, each unique yet bound by a common theme of pushing boundaries and creating new perspectives.

If you're looking to enhance your home or office decor with unique and thought-provoking prints, consider adding pieces from this collection to your space.
