After completing courses at the New York Institute of Photography, Claire pursued a degree in Information Technology and dedicated 25 years to designing software systems for financial institutions in New York City. In 2010, she retired from her career and indulged her lifelong passion for the night skies by purchasing a Celestron telescope and venturing west for stargazing adventures. In 2016, she expanded her horizons by acquiring a Canon Rebel T6i camera with a 24mm lens, delving into the world of astro landscapes and celestial events.
While her love for the night skies remains strong, Claire discovered a new passion in 2019 - capturing the grand vistas and intimate landscapes of the earth. Preferring to immerse herself in nature, she finds inspiration in the woods, fields, mountains, and waterways to convey her emotions through photography. She exclusively uses Canon equipment and recently graduated from the New York Institute of Photography with a certificate in Digital Photography.
Residing in rural Northeast Pennsylvania, Claire is an active member of various arts and conservation organizations in the region, including the Wayne County Arts Alliance, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, and the Pocono Heritage Land Trust. Her photos have garnered recognition in juried contests and have been featured in local galleries, showcasing her talent and dedication to her craft.
