Barbara Storey, a fine art photographer and digital artist, was born and currently resides in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. Throughout her life, she has also lived in the United States, Italy, and Germany, experiencing different cultures and landscapes that have influenced her work. Storey's passion for art was sparked during her time studying art history at Barnard/Columbia in NYC. It was there that she discovered her innate understanding and appreciation for the fundamental elements of art, which eventually led her to focus on the early Renaissance paintings in her studies and thesis.
While studying at Barnard, Storey delved into various art forms, including modern art, the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, and Chinese art. Her diverse exposure to different styles and genres has shaped her unique artistic perspective, blending traditional and classic techniques with contemporary innovations. Storey's artistic journey has culminated in her first professional solo exhibition titled “Altered Nature: Creating with an Intentional and Experimental Eye,” scheduled for Summer 2023 at the Blyth Festival Art Gallery in Blyth, Ontario, Canada.
