Born and raised in Clarkedale, Arkansas, the artist initially found their passion in music, playing the clarinet and French horn. It wasn't until the 10th grade at Marion High School that they discovered a deep love for art. The realization that God had other plans for them led them to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at Memphis College of Art. While there, they explored various mediums such as 2-d and 3-d design, illustration, printmaking, and paper making, setting painting aside temporarily.
The picturesque landscapes of Crittenden County and the tri-state area served as a major inspiration for the artist's work. The changing seasons and the beauty of the farmer's fields captivated their soul, influencing the emotions conveyed in their paintings. After graduating, the artist rediscovered their passion for painting, feeling a sense of renewal and strength like never before. They transitioned from studying and drawing from other artists' work to creating only original pieces, a value they hold dear.
Several successful art exhibits have showcased the artist's work, including venues in Memphis, TN, Forrest City, AR, Wilson, AR, and Poplar Bluff, MO. Their unique perspective and attention to detail have captivated viewers, encouraging them to take a closer look and discover new elements within the artwork. With a close-knit family supporting and encouraging them, the artist continues to create pieces that celebrate the beauty surrounding them. To bring a touch of this beauty into your own home or office, consider purchasing prints of their work.
