Catherine L. Vaughn

Catherine Vaughn
Crawfordsville, AR

Born and raised in Clarkedale, Arkansas, the artist initially found their passion in music, playing the clarinet and French horn. However, it was during their time at Marion High School that they discovered a deep love for art, leading them to pursue a degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design at Memphis College of Art. Inspired by the ever-changing landscapes of Crittenden County and the tri-state area, the artist finds beauty in the shifting seasons and the passing clouds over the fields.

While studying at Memphis College of Art, the artist explored various mediums such as 2-d and 3-d design, illustration, printmaking, and paper making. Despite painting being put on the back burner during their college years, the artist eventually found their way back to their first love - painting. They draw inspiration from the world around them, capturing the beauty they see in their original works.

The artist's work has been showcased at various exhibitions, including ANF Architects in Memphis, TN, EACC Community College in Forrest City, AR, The Grange in Wilson, AR, and Margaret Harwell Art Museum in Poplar Bluff, MO. Their unique perspective and dedication to originality set their work apart, encouraging viewers to take a closer look and appreciate the details they may have missed at first glance.

With a strong sense of renewal and passion for painting, the artist invites you to bring a piece of their unique perspective into your home or office decor. Each print captures the beauty and emotion they see in the world around them, offering a glimpse into their artistic vision.
