I've been photographing since I was a teenager. I've always been fascinated by nature and have always enjoyed photographing nature. I have photographed still scenery extensively, mostly plants and architecture. For several years in my youth I was a part of a community of photographers and models who would photograph each other. We created our own costumes and explored make up techniques as well as creating our own set designs or scouting for locations in nature for photoshoots. For a while, I worked in studios where I photographed babies, and school aged children, elementary through high school. I've done event photography for weddings and parties, as well as life event photography like engagements, pregnancy announcements, and graduations. After many years I have decided to return to my roots photographing nature. In recent years, I have found myself drawn to nature that is thriving in urban areas, particularly the intrusiveness of man made structures and natural reclamation of these artificial structures. Lately I have been enjoying photographing at night, especially with light and the absence people creating eerie scenes. I am inspired by the abandonment of structures that once served a purpose and the sense of wistful nostalgia that accompanies. I look forward to where my artistic journey will take me.
