Natascha Wise Fine Art

I use my art to explore the connections I have with my father, the people I love, and the world. I believe in this age of computers, big cities and long work weeks, many people have lost touch with the world around them and with themselves. I paint to capture moments of exquisite beauty. I seek to transform those moments that are so fleeting to lasting pieces of wonder and joy, and awe. Sharing those feelings, I hope to show people something of what they have lost within themselves. Painting is mindfulness, meditation, and a way to become whole after the world has frayed my edges.
I choose to paint digitally because it allows me to overcome some physical issues with muscle spasms. I gave up art for many years until Corel Painter came out, as I could not control my arms long enough to complete pieces. The ability to save and step backward means I can easily reach the vision I have. It also allows me the freedom to experiment with tones and brushstrokes to create the perfect feel.
