Mark Mrohs

Northridge, CA

I have come to digital art through experience. I began exploring the creative arts first through improvisational theater, then through mime and movement theater (Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris), then through weaving. I am now in love with digital art creation where I am able to explore the world by re-imagining everything that I see around me.

I am definitely romantic and lyrical in my visions. I enjoy details that surprise and delight. I enjoy compositions that give hints, and that are not super realistic. Rather, I want to be teased by what the image has yet to reveal.

I love Impressionism -- I have visited Claude Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny, and lived in Paris where the l’Orangerie was practically my second home. But I am strongly swayed by the precision and detail of Art Nouveau, and that influences where I go with my pieces a great deal.

I have much to learn, and I sincerely seek commentary on my works from collectors, designers, consultants, buyers, and of course other artists. I would love my work to add to the ambience of workspaces as well as homes.
