Laurie Musser's love of drawing began as a child growing up in Western Pennsylvania. With limited access to paper, her mother gifted her a chalkboard to foster her artistic talents. She spent hours drawing and filling the room with chalk dust. Her family and friends were inspired by what she could do and she was delighted to bring them joy. After graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA, Laurie moved to Strongsville, OH to pursue a career as an illustrator with American Greetings. After twenty years, she decided to widen her creative scope and opened Chalkboard Studio in 2003. Since then, she has been continuously working on new projects.
