Larry Reinhart

Growing up in Northern Oregon, the artist spent their formative years exploring open fields and building forts in the dense surrounding forests. They had a deep love for storytelling, using their boundless imagination, and creating with their hands. As they began to translate their creative ideas onto paper, memories of their imaginary adventures fueled their passion to share these stories with others. This led them to Southern California, where they pursued artistic studies and ultimately graduated with Honors of Distinction from the Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Illustration.

After completing their formal education, the artist dove headfirst into the commercial illustration market, running a successful business for over fifteen years. Collaborating with renowned clients such as Mattel, Leap Frog, Scholastic, and Warner Bros, they honed their craft and even contributed to the visual development of the first Harry Potter movie. Despite their professional growth, the artist felt a longing for the freedom to create personal art. In 2010, they made the bold decision to step away from commercial work in order to cultivate their own unique voice and body of work.

A decade later, the artist's passion for the imaginative wilderness still burns brightly within them, inspiring their artistry. Each individual's experience in nature is unique, with memories and emotions evoked by the sights and sounds of the forest. To view examples of the artist's work, one can visit their website or follow them on Instagram.
