Lan Lan, a contemporary artist originally from Hong Kong, made the bold decision to leave behind medical school at The Chinese University of Hong Kong to pursue her true passion for art. She furthered her studies at The University of Birmingham, U.S. Department of Arts and Design, in order to broaden her artistic horizons. After completing her education, Lan Lan found success selling her paintings at various art fairs across the United States, such as the Old Town Art Fair in Chicago, Sunriver Art Fair in Sunriver, and Lakeshore Art Festival in Muskegon.
In addition to her love for art, Lan Lan has a deep affection for animals, particularly dogs, and has been actively involved in animal rescue efforts in both the U.S. and Mexico. Her love for travel has also led her to immerse herself in different cultures, including living in Mexico for a period of time. While there, she resided in primitive conditions, creating a home for herself and rescued dogs in an old bus without running water or power.
Despite facing the challenges of bipolar disorder, Lan Lan remains a playful and affectionate individual with a natural talent for art that she has cultivated since a young age. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she is passionate about raising awareness for mental wellbeing and animal protection.
