Known as Katie, the Cariboo Song Rider, she has showcased her talents in hosting and producing shows that celebrate cowboy and native culture. Recently, Katie has reignited her passion for painting and is delving into illustration for her poetry and stories. Working as a traditional and digital artist from her home in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia, Katie has been expanding her artistic horizons.

In 2017, Katie introduced a groundbreaking art show at Parkside Gallery titled "The Little Birds That Fly." This unique exhibition featured her bird paintings, poetry, stories, and music, all centered around the theme of avian beauty and freedom. Throughout the month-long showcase, Katie engaged with patrons through weekly gatherings at the gallery, offering impromptu music performances and insightful discussions. As a gesture of appreciation, Katie gave away eighteen of her paintings to those who could provide a "good home" for them, sparking a heartfelt connection between artist and audience.
