Kaylene J. Big Knife, a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe from the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation in Montana, is a talented graphic designer and digital illustrator. With a passion for comic art, museums, storybooks, and Indigenous language revitalization, Big Knife has established herself as a prominent figure in the art world. Her educational background includes an associate’s degree in Interactive Graphic Design from the Institute of American Indian Arts, a bachelor’s degree in Native American Studies from the University of Montana – Missoula, and a master’s degree in Native American Languages and Linguistics from the University of Arizona.

Currently residing in the picturesque landscape of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Big Knife is dedicated to pursuing her creative projects and expanding her portfolio. Over the years, she has worked with various prestigious clients such as Xbox, PBS, Buffalo Jump Records, and Indigenous Comic Con (now known as IndigiPop X).
