Born in Kansas City, MO, Kat's artistic journey began at a young age. Her family's move to San Carlos, CA when she was 10 sparked a love for creativity that would follow her throughout her life. Living in various areas in Northern California and the North Shore of Oahu HI, Kat eventually settled in Hollister, CA where she now works from her newly built home studio.
With a father who worked for Vogue Fashion Marketing in NY, Kat was surrounded by fashion catalogues that fueled her childhood dream of becoming a high fashion designer. Spending hours drawing models and immersing herself in the world of design, she found her passion for art early on. Despite pursuing a career in the Silicon Valley electronics industry, Kat continued to paint, sculpt, and draw throughout her life.
After taking a hiatus from art making, Kat rediscovered her passion for painting in 2009 and hasn't looked back since.
