Her early days were filled with crayons and paper, and now she enjoys working with oils, watercolor, pen and ink, and color pencil. She is a true artist at heart, constantly exploring and refining her craft.

A lifelong student of art, Julie believes that art education is a never-ending journey. She draws inspiration from a variety of artistic styles, including the detailed realism of classical painters, the imagination of romanticism, and the edgy textures of pop art. Her work reflects a unique blend of these influences, particularly in the realm of children's illustration.

Julie's art has reached nine countries around the world, showcasing her talent and dedication to her craft. As a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, she is recognized for her exceptional work in the field. Holding a certificate in Natural History Illustration from the University of Newcastle, Julie's expertise shines through in her pieces.

Balancing her artistic pursuits with family life, Julie finds joy in her daily blessings of her husband, two teenagers, and a never-ending pot of English breakfast tea.
