Jay Fullmer, an artist and illustrator hailing from Wisconsin, holds an MFA in traditional illustration. With over two decades of experience under his belt, he specializes in bringing stories from the scriptures to life, particularly those found in the Book of Mormon. His journey in the world of art began with the publication of "Book of Mormon Battles" in 2004, a card game that quickly became the best-selling LDS game of all time. Following this success, Jay went on to create a chess set and another card game, each reflecting his passion for storytelling and depiction of the ancient American world.
In 2009, Jay embarked on a two-year long project, "Other Heroes of the Book of Mormon," which was released in 2011. This project allowed him to delve deeper into the lesser-known characters of the Book of Mormon, creating a collection of paintings and illustrations that offer a fresh perspective on the stories within the scriptures. These pieces now form the majority of the collection available in his gallery. Since joining the Church Education System in 2012, Jay has been sharing his art and teachings on YouTube through his Fullmer Gems channel, aiming to educate and inspire others with his creative work.
