David Lawrence Alpha, born in 1951, is a painter and printmaker hailing from Southwest Louisiana with over 50 years of experience in the art world. He honed his craft under the tutelage of Elemore Morgan at USL and furthered his studies at The University of New Orleans. Throughout his career, he has traveled extensively, showcasing his works in various cities across the United States, Mexico, Europe, Egypt, and Japan. Despite his global reach, David has dedicated most of his life to the Lafayette Louisiana area, where he has immersed himself in carpentry, family life, and the local arts scene.

As a Figurative Expressionist, David draws inspiration from nature, creating vibrant landscapes in oil and acrylic on board and canvas.
