Gordon Schafer has dedicated over 40 years to the world of fine art and photography. His artistic journey began with drawing and painting, eventually transitioning into the realm of photography. Growing up in a small town near the Mexican border in Southern California, Gordon's surroundings and experiences have greatly influenced his creative process.
Attending Boise State University for the sake of expanding his knowledge rather than obtaining a degree, Gordon immersed himself in the history of various art forms alongside fellow art students and professors. To this day, he continues to seek inspiration from other artists and their work, constantly evolving and refining his own artistic vision.
Gordon's work reflects his unique perspective and fascination with what lies beyond the surface of each scene he captures. He believes that true art reveals the context and mood of a subject, going beyond mere representation.
