An artist with a deep passion for painting pets and nature, Gail Dolphin resides in the picturesque Vero Beach, Florida. With a last name that perfectly suits her creative spirit, she grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia before earning a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Kutztown University in 1980. Despite finding herself unsuited for the pressures of the corporate advertising world, she found her niche in showcasing her work at local dog, horse, and wildlife shows, gradually building her art business.
Throughout her career, Gail has taken on various creative roles to support her artistic endeavors, including being a Docent at the Philadelphia Zoo, a Custom Picture Framer, a Retail Store Display Merchandiser, a Researcher at the Franklin Mint, and even running a horse boarding farm with her husband in Pennsylvania. These diverse experiences have equipped her with valuable skills and knowledge that have shaped her into the artist she is today. Living near the ocean and Indian River in Florida allows her to capture stunning reference photographs for her paintings, as well as immerse herself in the beauty of nature parks with her Scottish Deerhound Derby.
