Christine Angotti

Christine Angotti Photography
Williamstown, NY

Chris resides in a modest town in Central New York, near the shores of Lake Ontario. Living in a rural community provides her with an abundance of inspiration, particularly through the barns and Amish homesteads that surround her. While these subjects may seem to symbolize simplicity, she sees them as representations of hard work, dedication, and a deep commitment to a way of life.

Her husband often serves as her guide on short excursions, helping her discover new elements to incorporate into her long-term work. She is especially drawn to barns that once played a vital role in working farms but have since fallen into disrepair. While she has a deep appreciation for aged, weathered structures, she is equally captivated by the immaculate and carefully maintained homes and farms of the Amish community.

From a young age, Chris pursued drawing and photography, nurtured by the unwavering support of her grandmother and mother. She completed every art course available at her high school before continuing her education in the arts. She went on to earn an associate's degree in Fine Art and a bachelor's degree in Art Education.

She has always been drawn to the immediacy of photography. While she enjoyed developing darkroom skills, she finds great satisfaction in digital editing, where she can refine and enhance her images on her computer.
