After studying at the DuCret School of Art in New Jersey and taking courses at the New York Institute of Photography, I ended up with a degree in Computer Science and spent 25 years in as an Information Technology Specialist catering to Wall Street Financial Institutions. Retiring from my career in 2010, I was presented with a digital Olympus C5050Z point-and-shoot. Since then I have re-engaged my artistic side, upgrading my equipment every few years; a Nikon Coolpix P520 in 2013, a Canon EOS Rebel T6i in 2017, and a Canon EOS 6D Mark II in 2019, and my philosophy has morphed into "have camera will shoot." Being an outdoorsy person I especially like landscapes and, as a very amateur astronomer, night-sky photography - but anything very colorful or otherwise eye-catching will get me shooting. Home-based in Lords Valley, Pennsylvania I travel around the Continental US with my husband and Newfoundland, Bones, from late fall to mid-spring, visiting National Monuments, National and State Parks, Historical Landmarks, and designated International Night Sky Parks capturing scenes portraying deserts, oceans, lakes, rivers, mountains, wildlife, flowers, celestial events, and anything else possible.
