After completing courses at the New York Institute of Photography, Claire obtained a degree in Information Technology and spent over two decades designing software systems for financial institutions in New York City. In 2010, she retired from her successful career and decided to pursue her passion for the night skies. She purchased a Celestron telescope and traveled west to indulge in some serious stargazing. In 2016, she expanded her horizons by purchasing a Canon Rebel T6i camera and a 24mm lens to capture the beauty of astro landscapes and celestial events.
While Claire will always hold a special place in her heart for the night skies, a new passion emerged in 2019 - capturing the grand views and intimate landscapes of the earth. An introvert at heart, she finds solace in the woods, fields, mountains, and waterways to reflect her moods through her photography. Anything colorful or eye-catching has the potential to become a subject for her lens. Claire exclusively uses Canon gear and obtained a certificate in Digital Photography from the New York Institute of Photography in 2023.
Residing in rural Northeast Pennsylvania, Claire is an active member of various arts and conservation organizations in the area. Her photos have not only won and placed in juried contests but have also been displayed in local galleries. To bring a touch of nature's beauty into your home or office, consider purchasing prints of Claire's stunning photography.
