After completing courses at the New York Institute of Photography, Claire pursued a degree in Information Technology and spent over two decades designing software systems for financial institutions in New York City. In 2010, she retired from her successful career and turned her attention to her lifelong passion for the beauty of the night skies. Purchasing a Celestron telescope, Claire ventured westward for some serious stargazing before deciding to capture the celestial wonders through her lens.
In 2016, Claire expanded her photography skills by acquiring a Canon Rebel T6i camera and a 24mm lens to focus on shooting astro landscapes and celestial events. However, in 2019, a new passion emerged within her - capturing the grand views and intimate landscapes of the earth itself. As a self-proclaimed introvert, she finds solace in nature, often exploring the woods, fields, mountains, and waterways to capture her moods and emotions through her photography. Her subjects range from vibrant and colorful scenes to more subtle and captivating landscapes.
Currently residing in rural Northeast Pennsylvania, Claire is an active member of various arts and conservation organizations in the region. Her photos have gained recognition through winning and placing in juried contests, as well as being exhibited in local galleries.
