Barbara L.B. Storey

Barbara Storey, a talented fine art photographer and digital artist, was born and currently resides in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. Throughout her life, she has also had the opportunity to live in the United States, Italy, and Germany, allowing her to experience diverse cultures and artistic influences. Her passion for art was ignited during her time studying art history at Barnard/Columbia in New York City. It was there, during a visit to a museum in her early twenties, that she discovered her natural affinity for the fundamental elements of art, inspiring her to pursue further studies in the field.

At Barnard, Barbara delved into the world of art history, focusing on the paintings of the early Renaissance in her studies and thesis. However, her interests extended beyond the traditional, as she also explored modern art, the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, and Chinese art. Her appreciation for both classic styles and innovative approaches to art is reflected in her own creative work, which combines elements of tradition and experimentation. Barbara's unique perspective and artistic vision have garnered attention, with her photography now featured in various private collections in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Barbara's artistic journey has culminated in her upcoming professional solo exhibition, titled “Altered Nature: Creating with an Intentional and Experimental Eye,” set to debut in the summer of 2023 at the Blyth Festival Art Gallery in Blyth, Ontario, Canada. This exhibition will showcase her captivating photos, offering viewers a glimpse into her distinctive creative process and unique artistic style. For those interested in bringing Barbara's stunning photography into their homes or offices, prints of her work are available for purchase, providing an opportunity to adorn spaces with exquisite pieces of art that evoke emotion and inspire imagination.
