Anna creates her art with a focus on the soul and heart, aiming to convey her deep feelings and emotions to her viewers. Whether depicting a single animal, a tree, or a vast landscape like the Grand Canyon, she approaches each painting as a portrait, seeking to capture the unique essence and spirit of her subject through study and meditation. By the time a painting is completed, Anna feels she has gained a deeper understanding of her subject on a personal level, not just intellectually.
Always drawn to exploring new avenues in art, Anna has expanded her toolbox by learning graphic and web design. She had the privilege of creating a website and Newsletter for a UNESCO project celebrating the 1500th Anniversary of the City Turkestan in Kazakhstan, which was included in the UNESCO List of Anniversaries. While she has experimented with various media, Anna's favorite mediums are pencil, acrylic, and watercolor.
Some of Anna's acrylic paintings, including an Art Composition, were selected for the 24th and 25th Annual Juried Art Show and Competition at Breckenridge Fine Art Center in Texas, and featured in their catalogs. She describes her painting style as "romantic realism," hoping to evoke a desire in viewers to appreciate the magnificent and diverse world around them through her interpretations of flora, fauna, and landscapes.
