It was a beautiful Spring day when I captured this image at Harkness Memorial State Park, Waterford, Connecticut It is beautiful coastal park where you will find 230 acres of seaside acres with fields, lawns and gardens. The area is filled with all types of wildlife such as egrets, herons, cormorants and other coastal birds. Enjoy the panoramic views of Long Island Sound. The Harkness Family summer elegant mansion sits on the grounds which was once a working farm. The mansion was built in 1906. The park is open year round,
