Splishing and Splashing

Birds By Karol Livote

This is a Canada Goose-Believe it or not, these birds were once not very common. They adapted to the change of environment very well. A fun fact is that they decrease in size the further North you go. The smallest subspecies is found in the Artic. Will feed on insects, seeds and aquatic plants and I have seen them eat many lawns, including my own! This particular capture was taken at Wrights pond in Orange, Connecticut.
