Growing up in Ohio the winters could be quite long and cold. Lakes and ponds would freeze over, and skating became a way to be outside with friends. That relationship with skating has changed over the years and now I have found that trading hockey sticks for paint brushes is a good idea. Heading Up Ice came about from going to a variety of hockey games and observing the beginning of a breakout from behind the net.
