A long exposure image was used to flatten and blur the waves breaking on the wild and beautiful black sand beach at Pololū Valley. Big Island, Hawaii. The valley, whose name means "Long Spear" in Hawaiian, was created by erosion of the northern flank of the Kohala volcano, with dramatic cliffs along the sea.
