Ashy to Classy-The Notorious BIG

Portraits By Carlos H. Burgess

I drew this in charcoal back in 1998 months before I left home to join the Army. The last art piece I would create before reporting to basic training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. I wanted to show the smooth and classy side of The late Christopher Wallace, or The Notorious BIG as he was known in rap music and the HipHop world. This image gives me comfort that he’s still entertaining and doing it BIG even in Heaven.
